After 7 years of wholeheartedly running our retreat center, the time has come for us to enter a new phase. We therefore hope to pass the torch to the right people.

 

Would you like to start a retreat center without the heavy burden of a large property purchase?

We are looking for a motivated entrepreneur to take over our center. For the past 7 years, we have been renting this historic building (a monastic property in the Haspengouw region) from the count of Hex, and we are now seeking a successor to continue the lease.

We offer 2 possibilities for takeover.

​

1) Takeover of the Retreat Center

​

You will have complete freedom to choose a new name and determine the purpose of the center. The location is ideal for hosting workshops, retreats, and events focused on reflection, nature connection, and spirituality. It’s also well-suited for operating as a B&B.

In this formula, you take over the lease and purchase the inventory from us. Over the past 7 years, we have carefully and harmoniously furnished this space, and it is now available to you at a second-hand price. This includes all beds, bedding, compost toilet, outdoor shower, benches, fully equipped kitchen, tables, chairs, sofas, high-quality yoga mats, and more. Some items are negotiable, but there is a fixed base price for the essential inventory that comes with the takeover.

2) Takeover of Akasha Retreat Center

​

With this option, the Akasha brand continues to exist and you, as the new owner, carry forward its legacy. This formula includes access to the Akasha network along with all associated platforms (social media, platforms for reaching clients and collaborators, website, etc.). Akasha has successfully hosted continuous retreats and courses for 7 years, and has built a strong community and brand recognition. The non-profit organization (VZW) continues in this scenario, with new energy and leadership from you, the new caretaker.

There are a few conditions:

• You feel aligned with the vision and operations of Akasha Retreat Center.

• You are experienced in and trained in meditation and/or yoga.

• You continue to operate in the spirit of karma yoga / selfless service

• It would have our preference if you have previously participated in at least one Akasha activity (as a visitor, student, participant, facilitator, volunteer, or otherwise), though it's not a must.

• We continue to offer some retreats and courses from our current team

 

You pay for both the inventory and the brand with its associated platforms. The total amount and various possibilities within this formula are open for discussion.
