Sarah Spruyt

Ayurvedic Cook & Practitioner / Yogini

After more than 12 years of hard working as a medical doctor in the field of infectious diseases in Brussels, Sarah left everything behind and moved to the far Limburg. She had always felt that there was more to life than what she was living. Her first love was dancing, and the thing missing in life at that point, was to be able to dance and flow through life. After a very inspiring burnout there was no way back.

Looking for what truly resonates with her nature, Yoga and Ayurveda came on her way in 2010. In 2017 she went to India for 3 months, studying and living more intensely these ancient sciences. In 2019 she went back to experience the healing of a panchakarma therapy. And in November 2020 - after 3 years of Ayurvedic studies in Amsterdam- Sarah felt ready to open her own Ayurveda Practice to give diet and lifestyle advice, massages and individual yoga coaching.

Cooking has been a passion of hers for as long as she can remember. Noticing that her body was quite sensitive to all kind of different ‘inputs’, the question: ‘what really feeds and needs my body right now?’, was a pertinent longing from her body, that she could not neglect.

This is still her main drive to explore all the gifts of mother nature and transform them into healthy, nourishing habits, and into delicious vegetarian and ayurvedic dishes. Her mission is to share the wisdom of nature and inspire people to take care of their own needs, their own body and mind, which are both -not in the least- very much connected to food.

Anyone who shares a meal in Akasha will be rejoicing in taste as well as inner balance, thanks to the healing and cooking abilities of this amazing woman.
